Another quickie:

Check this out bitches -

It. Will. Be. The. Most. Amazing. Movie(s). EVERRRRR.

Time for your afternoon quickie:

I got a promotion yesterday! I don’t have to be on the phones anymore, which is sooo nice.

Just thought I’d let you all know!

UPDATE:

Hey everyone (meaning anyone who might actually read this) sorry I ‘m TERRIBLE at keeping up on this. I think part of that is due to the fact that lately I have a hard time wanting to spend more than 5 minutes on my computer because I stare at a computer screen for 8 hours a day.. blehhhhh. But here’s my regular every-other-month update I know you’ve been waiting for -

Basically you haven’t missed much. I’m just a work-a-holic at the moment (except that I really don’t like it all that much but I work a shit ton) and other than that I haven’t been doing much..

If you didn’t know (which I don’t think anyone does because if I recall I haven’t posted anything about this) I have been playing in a co-ed summer softball league with Martin and his friends and it’s going AWESOME. We’re in second place in the league, only having lost 2 games so far. Wanna hear the best news ever?? We won our last game 40-1. And we didn’t even finish the game because the umpire stopped it since we were so far ahead haha. Now play-offs are starting so hopefully we can still do well. The team ahead of us are called the Slayers and that they are. We were VERY close to beating them but we lost by like 3 runs if I remember correctly. So our first play-off game is today!!! I’m excited.

Hmmm.. what else.. Oh I went boating last Friday and got way sunburnt. Like, really bad. My skin is all leathery and some of it is STILL red. And it’s nasty and peeling now so I’m trying REALLY hard not to pick it because I love doing that with sunburns. But other than that, I had a blast! We were out on Utah Lake (nasty water, but still fun) for about 9 hours (which explains the sunburn..) and went tubing, wakeboarding.. all that jazz. The only thing that sucked was that the tube is a 3-man seater and I got stuck on one of the side seats the first time I went and little did I know that there was a conspicuous zipper rubbing up against my leg for about 15 minutes. So of course when I get into the boat I had no idea why I had a huge rug-burn-looking mark down my calf but the second time I got in the tube I noticed it. So now I have a killer scrap down my leg and it hurts like a bitch. Other than that, I had a BLAST.

OH! You also missed my trip to Vegas for Martin’s birthday.. We went down with his family so there wasn’t much time for anyone to gamble or drink or whatever which was okay with me but of course not with Mart haha. He has an 8 year old sister so we spent most of the time walking around, riding rides and seeing the shows and attractions. Nevertheless, it was still a lot of fun and we still got to drink one of those killer 100 oz margaritas haha. I think that was Martin’s highlight of the whole trip because he’s been dying to get his hands on one of those and I understand why because they sure are delicious! I wish I would have gotten a picture though because it was HUGE. I would upload some pictures but frankly I’m just way too lazy right now haha.

Other than all that, I’ve just been hanging out, helping one of my best friends in the whole world plan her wedding, buying Martin new video games haha and working. What a life..

A quick post for two very important things you all need to know about.

1. Something Corporate. August 21st, 2010. In The Venue.

2. Lady Gaga. March 19th, 2011. Energy Solutions Arena.

The End.

PS: BE THERE.

This is definitely the coolest thing I’ve ever done on my computer.. EVER. Check it:

That’s right. That’s me. As an Avatar. And I did it all in photoshop. Boo-ya.

Wow. 2 months since I have updated. I’m so sorry for those of you out there reading this that actually really care about my life and what I have to say.

A lot has definitely happened since March.. got a job, quit school (just for now because of money), cut off my hair and became a blondie.. those are the biggest things that have happened I think. So let me fill you in:

I got a job at Convergys working for the Census Bureau. I’m an interviewer which basically means that I’ll be calling and getting calls from people to verify their information for the census. I went to training all last week and I’m pretty excited. Kinda nervous too because I’ve never worked in a call center before and we have all these specific goals and aspects we need to meet every week and we get graded on our calls and what not but we do get a 2 week trial period that we’ll get constructive criticism about what we’re doing right and wrong without penalty so that will be good. I start this Sunday and I’ll be working every day except Wednesdays and Fridays from 12-8:30 pm. So not too bad.. I’m looking forward to it, especially since I’m getting really good money for it. The only downside is that it’s not a permanent job. They only need people till August but they said that they will hire people who do really well to work for Convergys full time so that’s what I’m hoping to do.

As far as school goes.. who even knows? Haha. I had to quit because I had a trust fund paying for my schooling and it’s basically all used up. So I’m a bit SOL for the time being. I just need to figure out exactly what I want to do with it.. But for now, I’m pretty content with just working for a while and saving money and what not.

And for the hair? Here’s a picture:

See? Much shorter, much blonder. I cut off about 6 or 7 inches and went completely blonde. Ignore the goofy looking kid to the right of me, he’s a butthead.. but I love him : )

One other thing I need to add – two nights ago I went to one of the most amazing concerts ever!! Here’s a recap:

Opening band – Neon Trees. Apparently they’re from Provo and had a HUGE following there. They were pretty good but played WAYYYY too long for an opening band.

Next opening band – Mute Math. I LOVE them. My absolute FAVORITE song in the whole world is by them (unfortunately they didn’t play it..) and they’re just amazing. They put on a great show. It was cool cause the bassist would go over and play the drums with the drummer and then the drummer would go mess around and hit a beat on the piano and etc.. at the very end all of them except the guitarist were playing the drums together (that’s in the last picture). It was cool. PS: the song I love by them is called Control.

And last but DEFINTELY NOT least, the headlining band – 30 Seconds to Mars!! OH. MY. GOD. Sooooo amazing!!! Jared Leto. Right in front of my face. It was absolutely fantastic. They played every song I wanted them to play and their show was seriously awesome. And just fyi, the last picture is him crowd surfing. It’s not a very good picture but I had to post it because yes he did crowd surf and yes I did touch him!!! At one point in the show he went to the back stage and played a couple acoustic songs back there so the people in the back could see him and he decided to crowd surf his way up to the front stage and he finally got to where I was (which was about 3 or 4 rows from the front, give or take a few since we were all packed like sardines in there) and as you can see, he was trying to sit up straight so he reached out for a hand to keep his balance and whose hand does he grab?? That’s right – mine. He was holding my hand for a couple minutes (no joke) and looked right in my eyes and I was screaming into the mic with him while he was talking.. Oh god, I almost had a heart attack haha. Anyway, it was one of the best concerts I’ve been to and that’s that.

Well there you have it.. a pretty hefty update. Hopefully I’ll be able to update more often but who really knows?..

Wow! It’s been a while since I’ve posted.. Just way busy from overcoming my health issues, catching up on school work, partying it up in Wendover.. and other things haha.

So here’s a big update:

I went in for an ultrasound for all my stomach pain that I had and it turns out that I had a cyst on my right ovary. If you know anything about them, they heal on their own and are a pain (literally). But all is well and no more pain in my tummy!

Catching up on school is an even BIGGER pain.. I had missed a lot and still am catching up today. I went back last Tuesday but I’ve made progress – I’m posting this video I made for my Visual Effects class because I’m pretty proud of it because I did everything on it myself. I filmed the footage (bet you can’t guess what it is.. maybe..), I found all the pictures (courtesy of NASA’s archives), and I did all the effects on it. It’s kinda weird and random and what not but the assignment was just to make a 60 second video, put at least 3 pictures in it and use different effects and things on it all. So tell me what you think:

Let’s see.. what else.. I’m swamped with homework! I had to make the video (which I put together in a measly 8 hours), I have to put together 4 pages in photoshop for a mock website, read 5 chapters for my storyboard class, and I have no idea what to do for one of my classes because my teacher won’t email me back. AHHHH!!!

In other news, Martin and I and a few friends (namely Toni, Braxton, Caleigh, Tyler and Trevor) went on a spur of the moment trip to Wendover Friday night which was a ton of fun. The only downside was that we were up until 5:30 am in the casinos and woke up at 10 – 4 and a half hours later. We were all soooo tired but it was soooo worth it! All in all we were down about 60 bucks but it could have been worse right??

So there it is, the big update. Impressed?

Ugghh.. hospitals. If you’ve ever been in one you know what I mean. Sure it’s not so bad when you aren’t the patient but when you are.. ugghh. And if you somehow like being in the hospital.. well.. you’re just weird.

So today I had this annoying pain on the right side of my stomach next to my hip bone for like a minute or two. Then about 10 minutes later my stomach EXPLODED in pain. Everything hurt. I could feel it all across my lower stomach and up into my ribs and in my back and down into my butt. I couldn’t move for about 20 minutes and was just laying on the floor in the fetal position. Finally I was able to move a bit and decided to go down to the emergency room because my boyfriend’s mom is a nurse and she was thinking that it was a kidney stone. So we got down there, got checked into a room and of course, my worst nightmare – I had to have an IV put in. I absolutely HATE needles but I gotta do what I gotta do. They took some blood samples and of course a pee sample (which is awesome) and when the results came back.. nothing. Everything was normal. So odds are that it’s not a kidney stone. Basically the options for what it is are: something with my appendix, something with my bladder, an ovarian cyst, pelvic inflammation, or just a random stomach pain that will go away. The doctor said that lots of times people get abdominal pain and you can’t ever figure out why. He also said that the only way to figure out if it’s any of the other things that I’ll have to have a CT scan. I decided not to do it right then because he said I could go home and see how it develops in 12-24 hours and if it doesn’t go away or get worse I could come back in and we can decide what should be done and if it goes away then I’m good to go. He also said that if it’s something more severe like my appendix or a cyst that since I came in right at the start of the pain that I should be okay for 24 hours, that nothing serious will happen.

So I came home, IV still in my arm and am still in pain. It’s definitely bearable but only when I’m laying down. If I sit up or move around it just hurts. I don’t know if I’ll need to go back in today but if I do hopefully it’s not too serious. I want just to know what it is and figure out what I need to do to fix it.

Let me just say.. last night was.. AHHHHH-MAZINGGG!!! : )

You really should all be incredibly jealous because I had the best time EVER. Really it was so incredible. The opening bands, Vedera and Fun, were both really great (check them out if you get the chance) and of course, Jack’s Mannequin was the best thing ever. It was fun because of course the club was PACKED and everyone got pushing and shoving and Martin and I weaseled our ways up to the very front, I got into the second row by the time JM came on. It was insane though, I’ve never felt so squished in my life! I think my internal organs got all mixed up haha. Everyone was sweaty, hot, and wayyy too close for comfort – but it’s all in the experience. When we finally got out of there I was sooo ready to go, I was dehydrated and intensely thirsty, and I actually blacked out a couple times haha. I almost passed out but again, it’s all in the experience haha. I would do it again in a heart beat. Of course I got a shirt and I also got a wristband and a poster but the poster got trashed so we dropped it. All in all, it was amazing.

And as promised – here are some pics:

After we got out, I was dying and sweating like a pig, but incredibly happy so I put on a smile : )

It was sooo hard to get a good picture being up that close because everyone was pushing and shoving but I did my best. He’s amazing.

One of the opening bands, Fun. Their lead singer is also from The Format. Check them out, they’re pretty damn good.

The other opening band, Vedera. They were fantastic. Check them out too, they really are great.

T-minus 9 hours until Jack’s Mannequin! I’m soooo excited I can’t even stand it! It’s going to be so amazing, you should all be jealous that you won’t be there.. : )

I’ve been trying to decide what songs I think they’re going to play and I think I’ve got it figured out.. I don’t know which ones they’ll open and finish with but here’s what I think they’ll play:

Holiday from Real, The Mixed Tape, Dark Blue, Rescued, Bruised, La La Lie, Miss Delaney, Kill the Messenger, I’m Ready, Crashin’, Swim, Suicide Blonde, The Resolution, Drop Out/The So Unknown, Hammers and Strings, Miss California. I’m pretty positive they’ll play at least most if not all of these. There’s a couple others that I think are possibilities – Into the Airwaves, We Were Made for Each Other/You Can Breathe, American Love, What Gets You Off, Bloodshot, The Lights and Buzz, Annie Use Your Telescope.

Basically, every song they have they might possibly play hahaha. Whatever they end up playing I’ll be happy. I just can’t wait, it needs to be 4:30 already so I can leave and head down there! They let people in at 6 so you can bet that I’ll be there early. I will be there at like 5 or 5:30 and if I’m not in front you can bet I’ll push my way up there without a doubt.

And don’t worry – I’ll post pictures sometime tomorrow.
